iPoll, a polling and research App that deploys modern mobile technology to collect and analyse views and opinions, ahead of the 2020 general elections has collated the views of voters concerning factors that will influence their votes in the December 7 polls.
The survey, conducted among 892 respondents – most of them being young, educated and employed – across the country revealed that, despite voters’ allegiance to their respective parties remained a significant factor, issues such as jobs, the performance of the economy and personal security are increasingly becoming entrenched in the minds of voters in the run up to the 2020 general election.
The survey also observed that, influence of flag bearers on party members are waning as voters are now more likely to vote for a candidate based on their personal circumstances and how candidates’ platforms and records will impact their lives.
