BoG Pegs Ghana Gold Coin at GHS 47,551 per Ounce
The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has set the price of the Ghana Gold Coin at GHS 47,551.29 per ounce in its latest pricing update for Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
According to the central bank’s data, the 0.50-ounce denomination of the coin is trading at GHS 24,117.29, while the 0.25-ounce coin is priced at GHS 12,422.16.
The pricing was determined using the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) PM gold price of US$4,294.35 per ounce from the previous day’s close and the Bloomberg USD/GHS exchange rate of GHS 10.70 to the dollar.
The Ghana Gold Coin, introduced as a symbol of Ghana’s stability and economic resilience, continues to serve as both a store of value and an alternative investment asset, particularly amid volatile global market conditions and currency fluctuations.
