Ken Ofori-Atta replaced by Abu Jinapor as caretaker of Trade Ministry
Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has been replaced by Minister of Lands and Natural Resources Samuel Abu Jinapor as caretaker Minister of Trade and Industry by the President.
Mr Abu Jinapor assumes the role on January 16, 2023.
Former Trade Minister, Alan Kyerematen, who has had his eye on the presidency, tendered his resignation letter on Thursday, January 5, 2023.
He served as Trade Minister since President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo came to power in 2017.
Mr Jinapor, the current Minister of Lands and Natural Resources will take charge of the Trade and Industry Ministry until a substantive minister is appointed.
