Kofi Adams Rewards Kotoko with GH¢10,000 After President’s Cup Triumph

Following their exhilarating 2-1 comeback victory against Accra Hearts of Oak in the 2025 President’s Cup, Asante Kotoko received a generous cash gift of GH¢10,000 from the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams.

The highly anticipated match, held on Sunday, July 6, at the Accra Sports Stadium, showcased the fierce rivalry between the two teams. Hearts of Oak took an early lead, capitalizing on a defensive error from Kotoko. However, the Porcupine Warriors rallied in the second half, scoring twice to secure a memorable victory in front of a passionate home crowd.

After the match, Hon. Kofi Adams visited the Kotoko team at their hotel, where he presented the cash reward in recognition of their fighting spirit and impressive performance. He expressed his commitment to supporting the team’s ambitions, stating, “Our target is the Continental level, and we will mobilize all resources to help you win.”

Adams also encouraged the players to celebrate their hard-fought victory, adding, “Congratulations, when you get back, you can buy some water.”

Kotoko’s triumph not only grants them local bragging rights but also boosts their morale ahead of the upcoming season, as they continue their pursuit of glory in both domestic and continental competitions.
