Wo Ye Bra commemorates Int’l Day of the Girl Child with donations to Anyaa Cluster of Schools

‘Wo Ye Bra’, a women empowerment initiative by Infinity Global Empowerment, celebrated International Day of the Girl Child with donations to girls of the Anyaa Experimental Cluster of Schools.

Donations made to the girls included school uniforms, stationaries, calculators, toiletries, re-usable Pads, t-shirts among others.

Speaking to norvanreports during the donation exercise, founder of Infinity Global Empowerment, Rev. Dr Adrienne Booth Johnson, quipped she will be starting a club for the young girls in the Anyaa Cluster of Schools next year.

The girls club, she noted further, will focus on teaching the girls how to make re-usable sanitary pads.

“I have had discussions with the GES Directorate of the Ga Central Municipal District, and next year we will be starting with a Wo Ye Bra Girls Club in the schools where the female students will be taught how to make their own re-usable sanitary pads.

“They will be taught by vocational skills teachers specially trained by the organisation (Infinity Global Empowerment). Vocational skills teachers to be trained by Infinity Global Empowerment will receive brand new sewing machines, materials for making the pads, scissors and other sewing accessories as well as a cash donation at no cost for their schools,” she remarked.
