Leclerc Hails Ferrari’s Strong Season Despite Missing Constructors’ Title
Charles Leclerc, Ferrari’s Monegasque driver, praised his team for their performance throughout the 2024 Formula 1 season, calling it a highlight of the year. Although Ferrari finished second in the constructors’ championship, Leclerc expressed pride in their fierce competition until the final race.
The season began well for Ferrari with two early wins, but they faced challenges mid-season. However, the team improved significantly in the latter half, becoming serious contenders against McLaren and overtaking Red Bull.
Leclerc reflected, “The first part of the season wasn’t easy. We weren’t the fastest and struggled for performance.” He noted that by the end of the season, they had become competitive, stating, “We picked up a lot of pace and were often the fastest car.”
In Abu Dhabi, the title race came down to the last race, with McLaren winning by just 14 points. Leclerc praised Ferrari’s execution and teamwork, saying, “Fighting for the constructors’ title until the end is something I’m very proud of.”
Looking forward to 2025, Leclerc emphasized the need for consistency and avoiding complacency. He acknowledged the growth of both himself and the team, stating, “We’ve taken steps in the right direction.”
