Lewis Hamilton ‘Invigorated’ as He Embraces New Chapter with Ferrari at F1 75 Live
Lewis Hamilton received a rousing welcome from fans as he stepped onto the stage at London’s The O2, marking the beginning of his exciting new journey with Scuderia Ferrari. The seven-time World Champion, who recently made headlines for joining the iconic team, expressed his enthusiasm and energy during the event.
Having already donned Ferrari colors for a test drive at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in January, Hamilton is now gearing up for the 2025 season. He will take the new Ferrari model for a shakedown later this week before heading to Bahrain for pre-season testing.
In front of thousands of fans, Hamilton conveyed his excitement, stating, “It’s such a great night to be here amongst all of you. I feel so full of life, and so much energy, because everything’s new. I’m just focused on what’s up ahead. I’m so proud to be a part of the team, something new and exciting for me.”
Standing alongside Hamilton, teammate Charles Leclerc also shared his reflections as he enters his seventh season with Ferrari. “If I have to choose one word, I think the one that fits better is probably honored – honored to be part of this team,” Leclerc remarked. He expressed his lifelong dream of becoming a Formula 1 World Champion, stating, “I’m living the dream and I’m just super honored to be part of this team. I’m really looking forward to hopefully writing history alongside Lewis.”
Pre-season testing kicks off in Bahrain on February 26, lasting for three days. Following that, teams will have just over a week to finalize their cars before the season opener in Australia on March 16. Hamilton holds an impressive record in Melbourne, boasting eight pole positions, although he has only won the race twice, with his last victory dating back to 2015.
