Liverpool-Paris demand spikes ahead of Champions League final

Liverpool Football Club and Real Madrid Club de Fútbol will face off in this season’s UEFA Champions League on Saturday May 28 at the Stade de France, Saint Dennis.

With football fans traveling to Paris for the UEFA Champions League Final, Liverpool – Paris is a route that is seeing more flight traffic than the whole of January, February, and March 2022 combined.

According to the aviation analytics firm Cirium, there are 24 flights scheduled from Liverpool to Paris between May 23 and May 29. The Champions League final brings a 1100% increase on last week when only two flights left Liverpool for the French capital. The 24 direct flights total 4,674 seats.

Saturday will see 11 flights departing Liverpool for Paris, the week’s busiest day. Surely, passengers on the Saturday flights will be hoping for no delays as Saturday is matchday.

Ryanair will be the airline offering the most flights between the two cities, followed by Vueling, easyJet, and ASL Airlines France.

Flight prices from Liverpool to Paris quickly began to soar as demand increased, exceeding $600 to fly from England to France, when both teams officially booked their place at the finals.
