Medeama pocket GHS 300,000 after winning maiden Ghana Premier League title

Medeama SC won their maiden Ghana Premier League title iver the weekeend as the 2022/23 betPawa PL season came to an electrifying end.

In reaching this feat, the Tarkwa-based side will pcoket GHC300,000 in prize money. This is an increase from the previous season of which Asante Kotoko received GHC 250,000.

The increase can be attributed to a successful headline sponsorship deal with betPawa prior to the start of the season with the betting company investing $6 million over a three-year period.

The Mauve and Yellow sealed their victory with a commanding 3-0 victory over Tamale City in Tarkwa, firmly establishing them as one of Ghana’s top football clubs.

Beyond the prize money and glory, Medeama’s triumph paves the way for further success on the continental stage as they will represent Ghana in the 2022-23 CAF Champions League season.
