Formula 1 Exhibition Makes South American Debut in Buenos Aires

The excitement of motorsport fans is set to ignite as the award-winning Formula 1 Exhibition gears up for its South American debut in Buenos Aires. The Argentine capital will become the first city in the region to host this critically acclaimed show, opening its doors to the public on March 22.

This exhibition marks the beginning of a broader South American tour, following successful runs in Madrid, Vienna, Toronto, and London, where it earned the esteemed Best Visitor Experience award at The Access All Areas Awards.

In collaboration with Fenix Entertainment, the exhibition will be open for a limited time until June 1, showcasing exclusive contributions from legendary teams, iconic personalities, and celebrated South American drivers. Visitors can expect to see an impressive lineup of F1 cars from various eras, rare artefacts, and never-before-seen video content.

Additionally, attendees will have the unique opportunity to experience the thrill of racing firsthand with cutting-edge F1 Fastest Lap Simulators.

The journey through the exhibition begins with “Once Upon a Time in Formula 1,” which features a captivating blend of unseen photography, historical F1 cars, films, and artefacts that highlight some of the sport’s most iconic moments.

The “Design Lab” section takes guests behind the scenes of an F1 factory, providing an exclusive look at how teams design and manufacture each season’s new car.

Next, the exhibition will delve into “Drivers & Duels,” celebrating the most legendary drivers and races since the inception of Formula 1 in 1950. A poignant segment titled “Fallen Heroes” pays tribute to drivers who tragically lost their lives in pursuit of glory.

The subsequent gallery, “Survival,” focuses on Romain Grosjean’s harrowing 120mph crash at the Bahrain Grand Prix in 2020, showcasing the remains of his HAAS car alongside a gripping multi-screen installation featuring unseen footage and interviews.

The exhibition reaches its exhilarating climax with “The Pit Wall,” an immersive cinematic experience that allows fans to relive the greatest moments in Formula 1 history in a captivating way.

The Buenos Aires show not only marks a significant milestone for the exhibition but also acknowledges the historical importance of South America in the sport. The region has produced legendary champions such as Juan Manuel Fangio, Ayrton Senna, Nelson Piquet, and Emerson Fittipaldi, and continues to nurture emerging talent like Argentina’s Franco Colapinto and Brazil’s rookie Gabriel Bortoleto.

Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer at Formula 1, highlighted the significance of the event, stating, “As we celebrate the 75th anniversary of Formula 1, it’s essential to honor the sport’s rich history and heritage. The F1 Exhibition has been successful in sharing this story, and we are thrilled to debut it in Buenos Aires, a city with a strong resurgence in motorsport support.”

Jonathan Linden, Co-President of Round Room Live and Producer of The Formula 1 Exhibition, expressed his enthusiasm for the host city: “Buenos Aires boasts a rich Formula 1 heritage, including the storied Argentine Grand Prix and a legacy of 26 Argentinian F1 drivers. With its vibrant sports culture, Buenos Aires is the perfect choice to launch this exciting new chapter in South America.”

Sebastián Bulgheroni, Global Chief Commercial Officer of Fenix Entertainment, echoed this sentiment, stating, “It’s a privilege to promote the Formula 1 Exhibition in South America. We understand the passion Latin Americans have for motorsports, especially Formula 1, and we’re excited to bring this incredible experience to Argentinian fans. This South American tour will continue to other countries, catering to the vast F1 fanbase in the region.”
