Jannik Sinner Enters Top 10 ATP Prize Money Earners After ATP Finals Victory

Jannik Sinner clinched his first ATP Finals title on Sunday, propelling him into the Top 10 prize money earners in ATP history.

With high expectations for 2024 following a strong finish to the 2023 season—where he helped Team Italy win the Davis Cup and was the runner-up to Novak Djokovic at the ATP Finals—Sinner’s achievements this year have been remarkable.

The 23-year-old captured his maiden Grand Slam title at the Australian Open, rallying from two sets down against Daniil Medvedev in the final.

Sinner continued his success by winning titles at the Rotterdam Open and Miami Open, and he became world No. 1 for the first time after the French Open, surpassing Djokovic in the rankings.

While Carlos Alcaraz claimed the French Open and Wimbledon, Sinner regained his hard-court dominance by winning the US Open, defeating Taylor Fritz in a decisive final. He also claimed the Cincinnati Open title earlier in the season.

After finishing as the runner-up to Alcaraz at the China Open, Sinner won the Shanghai Masters, becoming the fastest ATP player to secure a year-end No. 1 ranking since Djokovic in 2015. Rather than resting on his laurels, Sinner maintained his relentless drive, advancing to the final of the ATP Finals in Turin without dropping a set.

In a repeat of the US Open final, Sinner faced Fritz again, winning 6-4, 6-4 in front of an enthusiastic home crowd to secure the most significant title of his career outside the Grand Slams.

The world No. 1 earned $4,881,100 for his ATP Finals triumph, adding to his impressive earnings for the year, including a staggering $6,000,000 from the Six Kings Slam exhibition.

Sinner’s ATP Finals performance elevated his career earnings to $33,989,584, moving him from No. 16 to No. 10 on the all-time prize money list. He surpassed notable players such as Tomas Berdych, Andre Agassi, and Marin Cilic, though his rival Alcaraz remains just ahead with $36,148,985.

Novak Djokovic leads the pack with a remarkable $185,065,269 in earnings, followed by Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
