MTN FA Cup: Kotoko paired with Aduana FC, RTU face Samartex in Round of 16

The draw for the Round of 16 of the MTN FA Cup took place at the Conference Room of the Ghana Football Association on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

Sixteen teams including League Champions Asante Kotoko, Aduana FC, Dreams FC and Liberty Professionals entered the draw.

Present was Executive Council Member Nana Sarfo Oduro. Others included MTN FA Cup Committee Chairman Wilson Arthur, Deo Donne Komako, a Member of the FA Cup Committee, representatives of the 16 participating clubs and the media.

Defending GPL champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko were drawn against Aduana Stars in the top liner fixture of the draw with the former playing as the away team at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa.

Kotoko’s last visit to Aduana Stars ended goalless in the betPawa Premier League on 1st January, 2023.

In another all Premier league clash, Tamale United will host Samartex FC at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

Dreams FC, who eliminated last season’s champions, Accra Hearts of Oak will face Division one side, Liberty Professionals.
