My players were wasteful against Real Tamale United – Coach Prosper Narteh
Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, has said that his team’s wastefulness in scoring cost them during their 1-1 home draw with Real Tamale United (RTU).
The gaffer admitted that his side’s poor conversion rate made them lose vital points at home grounds against Real Tamale United.
“We played well and it was a game plan for the team. We created chances, just that we couldn’t convert those chances,” Narteh Ogum said in his post match interview.
Asante Kotoko took the lead through a 47th minute strike from Mbella Etouga Thiery right into the second half and had a lot of chances to cement the lead with goal scoring opportunities but failed to convert any.

Etouga’s goal was cancelled out by David Abagna Sanda on the 70th minute as the thrilling encounter came to a 1-1 draw in Kumasi.
Narteh Ogum believes that a lack of a cutting edge in the final third was a key factor in the team’s failure to record a win over Real Tamale United in their match-week eight encounter
“The problem is about converting the chances, I think it’s all about converting our chance and once we’re able to convert them, we’ll be there,”
Asante Kotoko occupies third position on the Ghana Premier League log with 14 points after match-day eight.
