CAF Unveils Nominees for CAFAwards24 Ahead of December Ceremony in Marrakech

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has announced the nominees for the men’s categories of the CAFAwards24, set to take place on December 16, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco. This year’s awards cover the period from January to October 2024.

Ten players have been shortlisted for the prestigious CAF African Player of the Year award, alongside ten nominees for the CAF Interclub Player of the Year.

Notable nominees include Amine Gouiri (Algeria/Rennes), Achraf Hakimi (Morocco/Paris Saint-Germain), and Ronwen Williams (South Africa/Mamelodi Sundowns), who is nominated in three categories.

Additionally, the CAF Coach of the Year category features nominees from the top-performing nations at the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023.

Each main category includes ten nominees, with categories for Young Player of the Year and African Goalkeeper of the Year also showcasing ten rising stars and outstanding goalkeepers, respectively.

Winners will be determined by votes from a diverse panel, including the CAF Technical Committee, media professionals, and coaches and captains from member associations and clubs in Interclub competitions.
