Hearts of Oak and Enyimba Set to Compete in Eko International Tournament Against Remo Stars, Ikorodu City, and Shooting Stars

Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has announced its participation in the Eko International Tournament in Nigeria, where they are set to play against Nigerian giants Enyimba FC, as well as Remo Stars, Ikorodu City, and Shooting Stars. This tournament marks a significant moment for new head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani as he prepares the team for the upcoming season.

Before heading to Nigeria, Hearts will first face arch-rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the President’s Cup on July 6 at the Accra Sports Stadium. The Eko International Tournament represents Dramani’s second major test after taking the helm, following the team’s fourth-place finish in the Ghana Premier League and an early exit from the MTN FA Cup against lower-tier side Golden Kick.

Competing in the tournament alongside Hearts will be several prominent teams, including the Nigeria Professional Football League champions Remo Stars, Ikorodu City, and Shooting Stars. Enyimba, a powerhouse in African football, adds to the competitive nature of the event.

Hearts of Oak aims to leverage this tournament to build team chemistry and prepare effectively for the challenges ahead.
