New Gold gains GHS 10 in share price

New Gold (GLD), the Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) backed by Absa Capital rose in share price at the end of trading activities on Tuesday.

The ETF increased by GHS 10 in share price to close trading at GHS 176.70 indicating a YTD positive returns of 62.71%.

The ETF emerged among the two gainers on the Accra bourse on Tuesday.

Benso Palm Plantation PLC. (BOPP) was the second equity to record gains in share price on the market for Tuesday, recording gains of 42 pesewas in stock price.

BOPP ended trading activity at a share price of GHS 6.90 indicating a YTD positive returns of 3.76%.

At the close of trading session on Tuesday, the Ghana Stock  Exchange’s Composite Index (GSE-CI) gained 1.40 points to close  trading at 2,460.12 points representing a YTD return of-11.75%, while the  GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) maintained its value to close trading  at 2,070.10 points, translating into a YTD return of -3.80%.

A total of 375,208 shares were traded across six (6) counters. These  trades cumulated in turnover of GH¢15,159,867.84.

Cocoa Processing  Co. Ltd. (CPC) emerged the most traded stock at the close of trading  session, accounting for 75.47% of overall trade volume, whilst NewGold accounted for 99.86 % of the total value traded.
