GFA Continues Mandatory Referees Training for GPL, DOL and WPL Players and Officials

The Football Association has intensified its mandatory referees training programme for all Premier League, Division One League (DOL) and Women’s Premier League (WPL) players and team officials.

This aims to deepen understanding of the Laws of the Game and foster greater respect for match officials and the game itself.

“It is only when all the players and officials are well educated on the Laws of the Game and the Regulations that they will understand what is expected of them and respect not only the match officials but the game itself,” explained GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo.

Participants are taken through integrity and safeguarding sessions and required to sign an Integrity Form, underscoring their commitment to uphold fair play and ethical standards.

“The integrity of the game and respect for all participants are extremely paramount. Hence, the commitment of stakeholders, including players and officials, to uphold the essence of the Laws of the Game is of great importance to the Ghana Football Association.” Prosper Harrison Addo stated.

Led by GFA Technical Instructors, the training highlights the latest amendments to the Laws of the Game for the 2025/26 season, ensuring that all players and team officials are fully informed as the campaign kicks off.
