Osei-Fordwuo Foundation, African Grill and Bar in the USA Donate $5,000 to Infant Jesus Catholic School in Ghana

The Osei-Fordwuo Foundation, in partnership with African Grill & Bar, a renowned dining establishment in Lakewood, Colorado in the USA, have donated Five Thousand Unites States Dollars ($5,000) to the Infant Jesus Catholic School at Dunkwa-On-Offin in the Upper Denkyira District of Ghana’s Central Region to support their school building.

This donation aims to enhance the quality of education and assist in completing the school-building project. This collaboration exemplifies the Foundation’s commitment to uplifting communities through education and highlighting the importance of diaspora engagement in Africa’s development.

Mrs. Agnes Kwegyir, the mother of Theodora Osei-Fordwuo, a co-founder of the Osei-Fordwuo Foundation and African Grill & Bar Foundation with her husband Sylvester, officially presented the $5,000 donation on behalf of the Foundation during a ceremony at the Infant Jesus Catholic School at Dunkwa-on-Offin

Giving her remarks on behalf of the Foundation, Mrs Kwegyir said: ‘’This donation is more than financial assistance; it is an investment in the future of these children and the broader community. By helping to complete the school building, we are laying the groundwork for a brighter future for the kids in this community.’’

Rev. Sr. Lawrencia Takyi, the School’s Headmistress, receiving the cheque expressed her profound gratitude to the Foundation for the kind gesture. ‘This donation was timely as it has come at a time when we really needed funds to complete the school to improve the learning environment for these kids.’’

Rev. Sr. Monica Abena Dangah, the supervisor of the cooks, who presented the school’s needs to the Foundation and secured the funds, was very happy and appreciative to the Osei-Fordwuo family for the support. “This donation is earmarked for helping complete the school’s building project, which is a crucial step towards creating a conducive learning environment,” she said.

Sylvester and Theodora Osei-Fordwuo, the couple who owns both African Grill & Bar and the Osei-Fordwuo Foundation, are proud to contribute to a community that prioritizes education. This collaboration exemplifies the strength of community, and the critical role education plays in shaping lives. This donation will significantly enhance the school’s capacity to serve its students and ensure they have the necessary resources and facilities to thrive.
