Top 10 African countries with the lowest cost of diesel

Diesel costs have a considerable influence on the social and economic development of various African countries, as they do in most other regions across the globe.

The increase in diesel prices has a knock-on effect on various industries, including transportation, agriculture, and the overall cost of living. This is especially true in nations that have not explored alternate energy sources.

The benefits of low diesel prices in Africa encompass economic, social, and environmental variables. Lower diesel prices can help the continent’s development goals by lowering operational costs across numerous industries including the agricultural, transportation, and industrial sectors.

Diesel fuel is a critical energy source for many African countries, particularly those that struggle with building a standard energy infrastructure.

If there are few alternatives to diesel-powered engines and the economy is heavily reliant on diesel, then the high cost of diesel may lead to economic challenges. However when these issues are addressed they create some economic relief. `

By lowering the total cost of doing business in Africa, cheaper diesel might draw in international investment.

Additionally, diesel is the primary energy source for many different kinds of machinery, including electricity-producing generators, in several African countries.

With that said, here are the 10 African countries with the lowest cost of diesel according to GlobalPetrolPrices. The list was last updated on the 24th of June 2024, when the average price of diesel globally was 1.23 U.S. Dollars per liter.
