Pesewa One emerge the most traded equity on GSE

Pesewa One PLC. (POP) on Tuesday led equities on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) in total volume and value of shares traded.

POP recorded the highest trade by value as it accounted for 44.77% (GHS 111,329.60) of the total value traded. Volume of shares traded of the stock at the end of trading session was 163,720.

Following POP were SIC and CAL with volume and value traded of 66,358 and GHS 17,916.66; 60,443 and GHS 54,398.70 respectively.

Nine (9)equities traded on Tuesday, ending with three (3) gainers namely Cal Bank PLC. (CAL), Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) and Total Petroleum  Ghana PLC. (TOTAL) as they gained GHS 0.03, GHS 0.02 and GHS 0.01 to close trading at GHS 0.90, GHS 0.92 and GHS 4.06 respectively.

Market capitalization for the day settled at GHS 62.78 billion. 

The benchmark GSE Composite Index  (GSE-CI) increased by 25.39 points to close at 2,587.41 points representing a YTD return of -7.24%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index  (GSE-FSI) also clinched 3.26points to close trading at 2,209.92points translating into a YTD return of 2.70%.
