Tyson Fury is open to fourth Deontay Wilder fight

Tyson Fury is open to battling Deontay Wilder for the fourth time after their epic trilogy ended last October in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“The Gypsy King” confirmed he won’t be retiring anytime soon this week and stated Wilder could give him a call if he needs an opponent for his comeback in 2022.

Fury told the UniBet Lowdown on his American rival: “He’s been absolutely destroyed mentally, physically and emotionally. He’s a wreck at the moment.

“I’d like to see him retire. However, if he does want another good hiding, give me a call.”

On possibly facing the winner of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua, Fury ruled it out.

“Me and Frank have something spectacular coming, but it does not involve Usyk or Joshua at this moment,” Fury explained before airing his views on the contest.

“He’s not a little Mexican who can go toe-to-toe for 15 rounds. If he gets on Usyk from round one and tries to be aggressive, he’d be gassed after four rounds, hanging on after five or six, and get stopped in seven.”

Fury has plenty to consider going into the summer. A return is on the cards by the end of the year.

“I will make a decision on all this, but I have only just fought three months ago. I would not be expected to fight until October, November, or December anyway.

“But because I have said I am retiring, everyone is on me. ‘Are you really retired? Have a couple more fights – every single day.”

“What I would say to the people who want this fight to happen is: you better have a big checkbook.

“Because to bring the big GK out of retirement to redeem this country – it’s going to cost.

“I am a prize fighter, and I do fight for prizes, but it will cost if you want me to do a mission on this middleweight and show what a real heavyweight does to them.

“And that will be expensive, they will need deep pockets, and then we can talk.”

Wilder is unlikely to accept any advances for a quadrilogy with Fury as “The Bronze Bomber” has already suffered two straight losses at the hands of Fury. Another at this stage of his career would be unthinkable.

Wilder needs a warm-up before taking on a new foe, potentially Premier Boxing Champions stablemates Andy Ruiz Jr. or Frank Sanchez.
