Prime Index records 1.15 points dip to close at 3,177 points on Tuesday
The benchmark index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE-Composite Index) concluded today’s session at 3,177.54 points, declining 1.15 points to return 1.51% YTD.
The GSE Financial Stocks Index likewise decreased by 2.18 points to end the day at 1,910.16 points.
CAL bank reversed the previous day’s gain losing GH¢0.02 to conclude the day at GH¢0.48.
Thus, market capitalization dipped by GH¢12.53 million to reach GH¢74.50 billion.
Overall, some 341,145 shares (up 0.66%) corresponding to a value of GH¢239,158.92 (down 34.17%) were traded, as eleven (11) stocks exchanged hands.
CAL trades dominated today’s trading session, trading 274,682 shares, surpassing the 37,418 traded in MTNGH with a value of GH¢52,385.20. SOGEGH, SIC, and GOIL followed in the activity pile to complete the top 5 traded stocks on the day.
