Pyramids FC and RS Berkane Set for Epic Clash in CAF Champions League Group Stage

The 2025/26 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League is gearing up for an exciting showdown as reigning champions Pyramids FC from Egypt prepare to face Moroccan giants RS Berkane in a highly anticipated rematch. The official draw for the group stage took place on Monday at the CAF Broadcast Partner SuperSport studios in Johannesburg, unveiling a competitive lineup that includes seven former African champions.

The highlight of Group A is undoubtedly the clash between Pyramids FC and RS Berkane, who recently met in the CAF Super Cup, where Pyramids emerged victorious with a narrow 1-0 win. This rivalry is set to reignite excitement among fans, as both teams aim for glory in Africa’s premier club competition.

Completing the competitive Group A are Nigeria’s Rivers United and Zambia’s Power Dynamos, promising a thrilling quartet of matches.

Group B features record 12-time winners Al Ahly, who will face Tanzania’s Young Africans, Moroccan champions AS FAR, and two-time African champions JS Kabylie. This group is steeped in history and rivalry, making for a captivating watch.

Meanwhile, Group C pairs perennial contenders Mamelodi Sundowns with Al Hilal, MC Alger, and St Éloi Lupopo—each bringing rich pedigree and passionate followings to the competition.

In Group D, four-time winners Espérance Sportive de Tunis will compete against Simba SC, Petro de Luanda, and Stade Malien, setting the stage for heavyweight encounters throughout the tournament.
