Qatar 2022: Samuel Boadu, Ibrahim Tanko, two others added to Black Stars technical team

The Ghana Football Association has added four coaches based in Ghana to the technical team of the Black Stars for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be staged in Qatar later this month.

A total of 21 individuals will serve as the backroom staff for Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The quartet include, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, a Premier League winner, formerly of Asante Kotoko who works as an Assistant Coach of the Black Galaxies, Samuel Boadu, Premier League and FA Cup winner with Hearts of Oak, Black Meteors Coach Ibrahim Tanko and Ignatius Osei Fosu, Assistant Coach of the Black Starlets.

The move forms part of strategies designed by the Ministry and the GFA to enhance the capacity of Ghanaian Coaches and to equip them with the modern trends of football.

Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum and Samuel Boadu have been selected on the basis of their success with Asante Kotoko (League winner) and Accra Hearts of Oak (MTN FA Cup winner) last season.

The Black Stars will be led by Otto Addo, who is being assisted by George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani with Chris Hughton serving as the Technical Advisor to the team as former Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Kingson plays the role as goalkeeper’s trainer.
