Nana Agyei Baffuor Awuah Elected NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Manhyia South

Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Manhyia South Constituency have elected Nana Agyei Baffuor Awuah as their parliamentary candidate for the upcoming December 7, 2024, election.

Nana Agyei Baffuor Awuah secured 376 votes, representing 71.48% of valid votes cast, marking a significant victory in the contested election.

Nana Agyei Baffuor Awuah will replace Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as the NPP parliamentary candidate for Manhyia South in the upcoming election.

His closest contender, Nana Owusu Afriyie Prempeh, garnered 141 votes, representing 26.82% of valid votes cast. Akwasi Coker Gyambibi and James Owusu Boakye received 2 and 7 votes respectively.

The primary poll became necessary after the four-time Member of Parliament, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, was nominated by the ruling party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as his running mate for the upcoming election.
