President Mahama Appoints Justina Nelson as Acting CEO of Minerals Income and Investment Fund
President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Justina Nelson as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF).
The appointment, effective immediately, was made under the authority of Article 195(1) of the Constitution and Section 21(2) of the MIIF Act, 2018 (Act 978).
This development was announced in a statement issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Acting Spokesperson to the President, on Tuesday, January 14.

Ms. Justina Nelson brings over two decades of experience as a seasoned professional in the banking sector. Currently, she serves as a Group Head at Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited, overseeing the Energy and Commercial Banking divisions.
Her academic credentials include: Master of Law (LLM) in Corporate and Commercial Law; Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing, Bachelor of Laws (LLB, Hons) and Bachelor of Arts (BA, Hons) in Management and Psychology all from the University of Ghana
Ms. Nelson’s vast expertise in corporate finance and her leadership roles in the banking sector are expected to contribute significantly to the MIIF’s objectives of managing and investing mineral revenues to benefit Ghana’s citizens and economy.
Her appointment is seen as a strategic move to bolster the Fund’s operations and enhance its effectiveness in optimizing returns from the country’s mineral wealth.
