Republic Bank Ghana Announces Appointment of as Baldath Ramkissoon New Non-Executive Director 

Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Baldath Ramkissoon as a Non-Executive Director of the Bank, effective April 14, 2025, after receiving approval from the Bank of Ghana.

Profile of Mr. Baldath Ramkissoon

Mr. Ramkissoon brings to the Board over two decades of distinguished service within the Republic Financial Holdings Limited (RFHL) Group and an extensive background in Treasury Management, Portfolio Management, Credit, and Investment Risk.

He currently serves as General Manager, Group Human Resources at RFHL.

Throughout his career, Mr. Ramkissoon has held key leadership roles across the Group, including Manager of Latin American Investments; Manager of the Trust and Asset Management Division; Investment Manager at Republic Wealth Management Limited; and Senior Manager, Treasury.

He has contributed significantly to shaping the Group’s investment strategies and risk management frameworks.

Mr. Ramkissoon holds a Master of Science in Finance with Distinction from the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business (UWI), a Master of Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University, and a Bachelor of Science in Management with Honours from the University of London.

He has undertaken specialized training in financial markets, international portfolio management, and pension management across leading institutions in Germany, the UK, and Puerto Rico.

His board experience spans multiple jurisdictions, currently serving on the Boards of
Republic Bank (Cayman) Limited, Republic Insurance Company (Cayman) Limited, Republic Wealth Management Limited, Republic Investments Limited, Republic Bank (St. Maarten) N.V., Republic Bank Trinidad and Tobago (Barbados) Limited, and Trintrust.

He is also the current Chairman of the SWIFT National User Group of Trinidad and Tobago.
