The Head of Mortgage Business of Republic Bank, Mr. Frank Oppong-Yeboah has touted the Bank’s flexible mortgage repayment namely the Bi-Weekly and Semi-Monthly options as the best in the Market for both existing and prospective mortgagors.

He made this known when he spoke at the just ended GREDA Housing Fair dubbed ‘X’perience’ held at the National Theatre, Accra.

According to him, Republic Bank has now made it possible for mortgagors to access other repayment options without changing their monthly instalments. This means mortgagors can now reduce the principal of their Loans faster thereby, reducing the tenure of their loans, and also making savings up to 40% on mortgage interest payments.

According to Mr. Oppong-Yeboah, Republic Bank has very affordable interest rates on its mortgage products. The Bank’s mortgage processes have also been streamlined to provide great customer experience.

“For us at Republic Bank, we have shown leadership in the mortgage business and in making mortgages cheaper and accessible to all Ghanaians. We partnered with the Government of Ghana on Public Sector Mortgage Scheme in the early years of the millennial era where public sector workers could access mortgage at a subsidized rate by Government. Today, this product has been modified and expanded by the Government. Public sector workers can now access mortgages at a subsidized rate of 11.9% for Cedi mortgage,” he added.

Republic Bank has been in the mortgage business in Ghana for the past 3 decades providing affordable mortgage products and services to thousands of Ghanaians, both home and abroad.

The Bank, in its effort to further enhance the mortgage experience for all, has introduced two new mortgage repayment plans which provide flexibility and opportunity for mortgagors to pay their mortgage loan and save up to 40% of their mortgage interest.

The two new repayment plan is to eliminate the view of mortgage acquisition in Ghana being frustrating and lengthy. The repayment plans reduce the number of repayment years customers would have to satisfy for their mortgage.

“We are obsessed with providing Ghanaians an incredible mortgage process through our powerful expertise, knowledge and quick processes. Customers now have many ways of repaying their mortgages no matter their salary structure. Our customers deserve the opportunity to easily choose the method that makes them most comfortable and these additional repayment options truly puts the power of choice into their hands,” said Managing Director of Republic Bank Ghana, Farid Antar during the initial introduction of the repayment plans.

The introduction of the new repayment plan is to cement Republic Bank as the bank of choice for all mortgage or homeownership needs whilst giving its existing and potential customers options that best suit their pockets.

As the pioneer of mortgage banking with over 30 years of experience, Republic Bank has been very instrumental in the Ghanaian mortgage banking space providing thousands of home loans to Ghanaians home and abroad.

The Bank continues to be the most diversified financial institution in the country and the number one home loan provider.
