Access Bank share price appreciates by 19 pesewas on local bourse 

Eleven equities participated in trading on Wednesday, March 23, ending with only one gainer namely Access Bank Ghana PLC.

Access Bank gained GH¢0.19 (10.00% share price appreciation) to  close at GH¢2.09 representing a YTD loss of -33.65% as market capitalization for the day settled at GH¢64.03 billion.

The gain in the share price of Access Bank saw the Accra bourse inch up as the benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) gained 3.16 points on the day to close at 2,742.57 representing a YTD return of -1.68%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also gained5.73points to close trading at 2,174.45representinga YTD return  of 1.05%.

A total of 75,784 shares valued at GH¢ 2,694,821.69 were traded compared to the 947,465 shares valued at GH¢ 2,217,902.14 which changed hands on Tuesday. 

Ecobank Transnational Inc. (ETI) at close of market traded the most whilst NewGold (GLD) accounted for 97.04% of the total value traded.
