Letshego Ghana Included in Asset Sale as Negotiations Near Completion
Letshego Ghana has been identified as one of the assets earmarked for divestment by Letshego Africa Holdings Limited (LAHL), as the pan-African financial services group advances negotiations on a potential transaction.
This was disclosed in a communication to investors by the Chief Executive Officer of Letshego Ghana, Nii Amankra Tetteh, following a cautionary announcement issued by LAHL on March 23, 2026.
According to LAHL, the company is in the final stages of negotiations with a potential counterparty for the sale of selected assets across its East and West African operations.
“Shareholders are advised that the Company is in the final stages of negotiations with the potential counterparty for the sale of some of its assets in East and West Africa,” the statement said.
Confirming Ghana’s inclusion in the planned divestment, Mr Tetteh noted that discussions have progressed significantly, with further stakeholder engagement expected in the coming weeks.
“We write to advise you that Letshego Ghana is among the assets being sold by LAHL. We understand that the Potential Transaction is at an advanced stage, such that formal engagements, including details of the potential counterparty, will be scheduled in the coming weeks,” he stated.
Despite the ongoing transaction process, management assured stakeholders that operations in Ghana remain unaffected.
“We wish to confirm that business at Letshego Ghana is continuing as usual and is uninterrupted by the ongoing Potential Transaction,” Mr Tetteh added.
The planned asset sale forms part of LAHL’s broader strategic review of its portfolio across African markets, although details of the prospective buyer and transaction value remain undisclosed.
