Societe Generale equity records gain on local bourse
Trading activity on the local bourse for Tuesday saw the BOPP equity rise to GH¢22.20 after a GH¢0.20 gain while SOGEGH closed higher at GH¢1.55 bringing it GH¢0.02 closer to its year open price of GH¢1.57.
As a result, the market capitalization of the bourse increased by GH¢14.05 million ending the day at GH¢84.22 billion.
Tuesday’s trading session saw total turnover fall to GH¢1,016,995.79 (down 73.89%) compared to the previous day.
Eighteen (18) different equities were traded as total volumes traded marginally dropped, with 576,083 shares traded.
There were outstanding offers for FML, SOGEGH, UNIL and GGBL at GH¢3.19, GH¢1.55, GH¢12.00 and GH¢4.44 respectively.
Meanwhile, the benchmark index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE Composite Index) climbed 1.29 points to close at 3,772.52 points with a YTD return of 20.55%.
The GSE Financial Stocks Index also grew to 2,086.24 points, recording a YTD return of 9.71%.
