Local bourse loses 46.79 points as MTN slips

Benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) at the end of trading activity on Thursday, decreased by 46.79 points to close at 2,564.20 points representing a YTD return of -8.07%. 

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) howevergained0.34 points to close trading at 2,210.43 points translating into a YTD  return of 2.72%. 

Twelve equities traded on Thursday ending with one gainer and one decliner.

SIC Insurance Company Ltd. (SIC) was the sole gainer as it gained GH¢0.01to close trading at GH¢0.28 representing  a YTD return of 250% whilst Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) lost GH¢0.04 to close trading at GH¢0.90 representing a YTD return of -18.92%.

MTNGH closed trading with the lion’s share of trades as it recorded the most volumes traded and also accounted for 85.95%  of the total value traded.
