Stock market advances by 0.79 points as SIC, CAL post share price gains

The Accra Bourse moved up further, although marginally as the  benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) gained 0.79 points on the  day to close trading today at 2,742.85 representing a YTD return of  -1.67%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also gained 1.43 points to close trading at 2,174.96 representing a YTD return of 1.07%.

In the  aggregate, six (6) equities participated in trading, ending with two (2) gainers namely SIC Insurance Company Ltd. (SIC) as it gained GH¢0.01 (4.76% share price appreciation) to close at GH¢0.22 representing a YTD return of 175.00% and Cal Bank PLC (CAL) which gained GH¢0.01 (1.18%  share price appreciation) to close at GH¢0.86 representing a YTD return of -1.15%.

SIC Insurance Company Ltd. (SIC) accounted for 31.49% of the total value  traded, representing the largest share of trades.
