Stock market remains flat on Tuesday
The benchmark index (GSE-Composite Index) of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) did not record any change on the first trading session of the week, as it closed at the same mark as it opened at 2,538.53 points representing a YTD return of -8.99%.
The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also maintained its value to close trading at 2,163.03 points translating into a YTD return of 0.52%.
Seventeen (17) equities traded, ending with no gainer nor decliner as market capitalization for the day [Tuesday, July 12] settled at GH¢64.61 billion.
A total of 485,906 shares valued at GH¢445,364.01 was traded yesterday.
Compared with the previous GSE trading day (July 8), Tuesday’s data shows a 28.67% improvement in volume traded and 153.02% improvement in trade turnover.
Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) accounted for 90.67% of the total value traded and recorded the largest volumes traded.
