Thrilling Matchups Await in the 2024/25 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup Group Stage

The 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup group stage promises exhilarating action, with title holders Zamalek set to face Nigerian giants Enyimba following Monday’s draw. 

This year’s competition features several former champions, including USM Alger, Zamalek SC, and RS Berkane, all preparing for fierce battles. Zamalek finds themselves in a challenging Group D alongside fellow Egyptians Al Masry and Black Bulls, ensuring exciting matchups ahead.

Zamalek SC is eager to add another TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup title to their illustrious history, but they face a difficult path. Group B includes former champions RS Berkane from Morocco, who will compete against Mali’s Stade Malien, CD Lundal Sul, and South African debutants Stellenbosch. Berkane is considered a favorite to advance, but their rivals are determined to shake things up.

In Group C, former champions USM Alger will clash with ASEC Mimosas, ASC Jaraaf, and Orapa United. With USM Alger’s strong pedigree and ASEC’s ambitions, high-quality football is expected, with ASC Jaraaf and Orapa United also poised to make their mark.

Group A is labeled the “Group of Death,” featuring Tanzania’s Simba SC, Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien, and Algerian powerhouses CS Constantine. Angola’s Bravos do Maquis complete the group, but the spotlight will be on the intense clashes among Simba, Sfaxien, and CS Constantine, all of whom boast impressive continental credentials.

The group stage kicks off in November, setting the stage for Africa’s elite clubs to pursue TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup glory.
