The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that TNA Stadium will be the venue for the highly anticipated 2024/25 MTN FA Cup semifinals, scheduled for Sunday, May 11, 2025. This follows an exciting quarterfinal round held in Kumasi, where Asante Kotoko, Berekum Chelsea, Golden Kick, and Attram de Visser secured their spots in the final four.
The upcoming semifinals promise to deliver thrilling football action, featuring a mix of teams from both the Ghana Premier League and the Access Bank Division One League.
In one semifinal clash, league leaders Asante Kotoko will take on Berekum Chelsea, while Attram de Visser faces Golden Kick in the other match.
Asante Kotoko, one of Ghana’s most successful clubs, has a rich history, having won the FA Cup multiple times with Berekum Chelsea, established in 2000, also making a name for itself in Ghanaian football, winning the FA Cup in 2012.
Attram de Visser and Golden Kick, both from the Access Bank Division One League, are looking to make a statement by challenging their more established counterparts. Attram de Visser, known for developing young talent, has been a competitive force in the lower leagues, while Golden Kick aims to rise through the ranks and make an impact in the national tournaments.
TNA Stadium, home to Medeama SC, is set to provide an electric atmosphere for these crucial encounters, with both matches pivotal for the teams vying for a place in the final.
The winner of this prestigious competition will earn the right to represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup, adding extra incentive for the teams involved
