GSE-CI closes at 2,389 points, returns -14.34% YTD

The benchmark index (GSE-Composite Index) of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) fell 7.04 points to close trading at 2,389.48 points representing a YTD return of -14.34s%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE FSI) also lost14.14points to close trading at 2,078.76 points translating into  a YTD return of -3.40%.

Nineteen (19) equities traded, ending with two (2) decliners. CAL and ETI were the decliners as they lost GH¢0.01 each to close trading at GH¢0.74 and GH¢0.14 respectively.

Compared with the previous GSE trading day (August 5), today’s data  shows a 236.05% improvement in volume traded and 448.68% improvement in trade turnover.

Asante Gold Corporation (ASG)  accounted for 83.61% of the total value traded whilst Ecobank Transnational Inc. (ETI) recorded the largest volumes traded.
