Unilever Ghana revenue surge by 20% to GHS 632m in 2022

With a notable upswing in turnover, Unilever Ghana PLC’s revenue soared to Gh¢632 million in 2022, marking an impressive 20% surge from the previous year’s figure of Gh¢527 million. The company’s strategic focus on expanding coverage, fostering innovation, and strengthening its core brands, including the venerable Key Soap, Pepsodent, and Geisha, played a pivotal role in driving this exceptional growth trajectory.

Unilever Ghana PLC demonstrated its unwavering commitment to bolstering profitability through a multifaceted approach. The company prioritized efficiency improvements, waste reduction measures, and robust credit control mechanisms, ensuring a sustainable and resilient business model. These initiatives led to a substantial increase in profit, with the company recording a noteworthy surge from Gh¢0.4 million in 2021 to Gh¢15 million in 2022.

Collaborating with like-minded members of the Ghana Recycling Initiative by Private Enterprises (GRIPE), the company spearheaded initiatives to collect plastic waste and promote second-life solutions.
