Vice President Opoku-Agyemang Seeks Medical Treatment Abroad After Sudden Illness
Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has received medical treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) following a sudden illness on Friday, March 28, 2025.
A statement from the Presidency’s Communications Directorate, released on Sunday, March 30, confirmed that she was admitted to UGMC on Saturday for medical attention.
According to the statement, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Member of Parliament and Minister for Government Communications, medical experts have recommended that the Vice President travel abroad for further treatment to ensure her full recovery.
“We extend our best wishes to the Vice President for a speedy recovery,” the statement concluded.
