WhatsApp would soon be introducing a new feature to help users avoid the embarrassment of accidentally sending a message to the wrong person or group.
As reported by WABetaInfo, the new option allows users to set custom backgrounds for each chat, helping users easily identify which group or individual they are communicating with.
The new feature according to WABetaInfo, will also allow users choose different themes as backgrounds in both light and dark modes.
The new feature will also enable users set the brightness of their chat wallpapers, making it easy for them to tone down a chosen pattern or picture as it fades into the background without distracting users from their chats.
Custom backgrounds for individual chats aren’t available to test yet – even for beta users – but the new feature will hopefully be rolled out in the coming months.
It’s possible the new option may arrive at the same time as the long-awaited feature of using a single WhatsApp account on multiple devices.
