Women’s Premier League: Hasaacas Ladies beat Lady Strikers 3-0

A transformed second half display saw Hasaacas Ladies FC start season with a 3-0 win against Lady Strikers.

Jafaru Rahama opener and Success Ameyaa’s double ensured Hasaacas Ladies made easy work of Lady Strikers with a 3-0 win.

Hasaacas Ladies returned to the Sekondi Gyandu Park for the first time since a 2-0 win against Northern Ladies in the quarter finals stage of the FA Cup.

Coach Yussif Basigi made slight changes to the side that won the First Lady’s Cup.

Grace Banwaa maintained her place in the post. Shine Blessing and Lauratu Issaka were the central defensive pair flanked by Perpetual Agyekum and Asante on the left and right defense.

Faustina Nyame Aidoo, Doreen Copson and Evelyn Badu were in the heart of the midfield and leading the attack were the trio of Comfort Owusu, Jafaru Rahama and Veronica Appiah.

Ladystrikers handled the ball in the penalty box but Perpetual Agyekum’s blew the resulted penalty off wide.

Doris Boaduwaa came on to replace Asante in the first half with Comfort Owusu drafted back to the right back position.

It was Yussif Basigi’s led side that showed more firepower after the break; Jafaru Rahama connected beautifully to Doris Boaduwaa to put Hasaacas upfront.

Success Ameyaa was brought on to replace Evelyn Badu and a minute after being on the pitch she added to the tally by connecting to Perpetual Agyekum’s corner kick.

Ameyaa added the game’s third and her second of the game latching onto a cross from Faustina Nyame Aidoo.

Hasaacas Ladies sealed the day with a 3-0 win.
