WPL Super Cup: Hasaacas Ladies to face LadyStrikers in the finals

The maiden edition of the Women’s Premier League Super Cup enters the final stage on Sunday, with Hasaacas Ladies facing LadyStrikers.

On Thursday, December 2 at the Madina Zurak Park, Hasaacas Ladies clashed with Ampem Dakoa as both teams looked to secure a place in the finals.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies went head-to-head with Hasaacas Ladies in what was their third meeting so far this year.

The pair met in the final of the Women’s Premier League while also facing each other in the FA Cup final with Hasaacas Ladies winning both trophies.

The story was not different as the Hasmal Ladies walked over their female counterparts for the third time this season, beating them 3-0 courtesy a brace from Success Ameyaa and Veronica Appiah.

Success Ameyaa was awarded Woman of the match for the second game in a row after her spectacular performance.

Later in the day, LadyStrikers faced off with Prisons Ladies on the Madina Zurak Park.

LadyStrikers scored as early as the fifth minute, thrashing Prison Ladies by 4-0 with goals from Martha Gifty Amissah, Catherine Arthur, Gifty Addae Boakye and Sandra Narh.

Catherine Artur was awarded the Woman of the match after her scintillating display.

LadyStrikers and Hasaacas Ladies will be battling it out for the trophy as well as the bragging rights as the first team to win the Women’s Super Cup.

Both teams met in the opening game of group A as a Gladys Amfobea first half strike was enough for LadyStrikers, getting the better of Hasaacas Ladies.

Will it be a repeat for LadyStrikers or a revenge for Hasaacas Ladies? Only time will tell as Sunday’s final promises to be exciting.

The game will be played at The Madina Astro Turf at 6pm.
