The Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Mrs. Elsie Addo Awadzi, is set to take an early retirement, effective February 28, 2025.

Her decision to retire ahead of schedule has been approved by President John Mahama.

In a statement announcing her departure, Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, confirmed the President’s acceptance of her decision.

“President Mahama has accepted the decision of Mrs. Elsie Addo Awadzi to take early retirement from the Bank with effect from 28th February 2025.
