FirstBank Celebrates Success Africa Summit 2025: A Commitment to Youth Empowerment

FirstBank has participated in the recently concluded Success Africa Summit 2025, an annual motivational conference organized by LEC Group aimed at inspiring young leaders and entrepreneurs. This year’s summit drew an impressive turnout, impacting over 1,000 students across multiple campuses, demonstrating a growing interest in youth empowerment initiatives.

The Success Africa Summit, which targets students from prominent tertiary institutions such as the University of Cape Coast (UCC), University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), University of Education (UEW), and University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) serves as a platform for young individuals to be inspired, challenged, and motivated to become trailblazers in their communities and beyond. The summit featured high-impact speaker engagements and resource persons.

FirstBank was represented at several key institutions, with Allen Quaye, Head of Retail Banking, attending the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), Frank Adotey Addo, Head of Corporate Banking, engaging with students at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), while David Kormlagah, Takoradi Branch Manager, visited the University of Cape Coast. Their participation as resource persons underscored FirstBank’s unwavering commitment to youth development.

Commenting on the entire program, Victor Yaw Asante, Managing Director and CEO of FirstBank Ghana, stated, “Empowering the youth is not just a responsibility, it is a necessity for the sustainable growth of our society. At FirstBank, we are committed to providing the best training and resources to help young people thrive. Our dedication to nurturing youth talent is reflected in our various initiatives, including youth fairs, internship opportunities, and our Graduate Training Programme.
