President Akufo-Addo Appoints Alexander Afenyo-Markin as ECG Board Chairman
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the Majority Leader and Member of Parliament for Effutu, as the new Board Chairman of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
The appointment was confirmed in a letter signed by the President’s Secretary, Ambassador Nana Asante Bediatuo.
Mr Afenyo-Markin succeeds Herbert Krapa, who has been appointed as the Minister of State at the Energy Ministry.
Mr Herbert Krapa had previously replaced Keli Gadzekpo, who resigned from his position on March 26.
