GAR rebrands to GAREB; inducts new executives
Formally known as GAR, the Ghana Association of Real Estate Brokers has rebranded to GAREB.
This was made known at an induction ceremony for newly elected executives of the association at the Montgomery Residences & Golf Course, the first private golf and resort in Ghana.
Speaking at the induction ceremony, Co-Founder of GAREB and CEO of E Wells Realty, Hanna Atiase, highlighted three key things the new executives must consider in their new roles.
These included; inner motivation that will help propel the association forth as this is a voluntary ambition, consistency in their words and actions, and transparency in all GAREB’s activities.
She encouraged real estate brokers present to make good use of networking opportunities and also partner with Montgomery residences asserting that, “your network is your net worth”.
Managing Director of CBC Properties Limited, a real estate brokerage and development firm in Accra, and also a Co-Founder of GAREB, Christian Nii Abbosey, shared the history of the Association and why there was a need to change from GAR to GAREB.

He outlined the numerous benefits of joining GAREB which include networking, trainings, having access to GAREB’s strong legal team as well as how being a member of the association puts you in a relatively better position to secure a real estate license in Ghana.
Rashad Seini, Co-Founder of Meqasa Limited, an online real estate marketplace in Ghana reiterated the importance of becoming a certified member of GAREB.
He argued that, “Membership of the Ghana Association of Real Estate Brokers (GAREB) is more relevant today because it unifies real estate professionals under a body whose methods of accepting new members as well as ethics governing members all fall in line with the Real Estate Agency Act, 2020 (Act 1047). As Ghana’s number one online real estate marketplace, meqasa.com is proud to be associated with any movement or activity which serves the advancement of the real estate industry.”
