Stock market posts -0.52% YTD loss

Benchmark index (GSE-Composite Index) of the Ghana Stock  Exchange (GSE) lost 0.60 points to close trading at 2,431.24 points representing a YTD return of -0.52%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI)  also dropped 1.09 points to close trading at 2,042.80 points translating into a YTD return of -0.48%. 

Wednesday’s trading session ended with one price decliner.

CAL Bank (CAL) fell  by GH¢0.01to close at GH¢0.56 per share. Market capitalization for the day  decreased by GH¢6.27 million to settle at GH¢64.51 billion.

The total volume traded decreased by 58.98% to 22,706 shares and was  traded across ten (10) counters.

The total value traded also decreased by  99.03% totaling GH¢19,237.11.

Transactions in Scancom PLC (MTNGH)  topped the trading chart with 19,920 shares valued at GH¢17,529.60.

This  was followed by CAL Bank PLC (CAL) trading 2,000 shares valued at  GH¢1,120.00.
