Unilever Ghana continues price gains on GSE

Unilever Ghana has continued its share price gains on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE).

Per the Daily Equity Market report of SIC Brokerage made available to norvanreports, Unilever Ghana at the end of Tuesday’s trading session recorded share price gains of 9.97 percent.

The recorded gain in Unilever Ghana’s share price for Tuesday’s trading session inched up marginally above the 9.93 percent share price gain recorded at the end of Monday’s trading session.

With a 9.97 percent share price gain, Unilever closed Tuesday’s trading session with a share price of Ghs 3.53 pesewas. Unilever Ghana has now gained 76.5 percent in share price appreciation since it last traded the lowest this year (Ghs 2.00) on July 19, 2021. 

Meanwhile, the GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) as a result of the gains of Unilever Ghana, gained 1.91 percent to close at 2,748.06 points with a 41.54 percent YTD return.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) however, remained unchanged to close at  1,909.91 points translating into a YTD return of 7.13 percent as market capitalization  inched upwards to close at Ghs 62.71 billion. 

A total of 5,623,223 shares valued at Ghs 7,130,144.43 was traded on Tuesday compared to 652,880 shares valued at Ghs 1,262,077.13 that was traded on Monday. 

Fourteen (14) equities changed hands with Scancom PLC (MTNGH) recording the lion’s share of trades, accounting for 99.19% of the total value traded.
