FirstBank Ghana Concludes Third Junior Internship Programme to Nurture Future Leaders

FirstBank Ghana has successfully concluded the third edition of its Junior Internship Programme (JIP), an initiative designed to provide early corporate exposure and leadership development opportunities for children aged between 11 and 14 years.

Speaking at the 2025 Closing Ceremony and Prize Presentation held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, Managing Director of FirstBank Ghana, Victor Asante, underscored the Bank’s commitment to investing in Ghana’s future through early talent development.

“FirstBank Ghana views the Junior Internship Programme initiative as more than an internship. It is a deliberate, strategic, and long-term investment in building Ghana’s human capital,” said Mr Asante.

“By nurturing young minds, we are strengthening the pillars of our nation’s future growth and contributing to a more capable, competitive, and prosperous Ghana. Nations that win in the future will be those that prepare their youth today, equipping them with the mindset, discipline, and skills to compete in a fast-changing global economy,” he added.

He noted that the decisions, values, and ambitions cultivated by the young interns will shape Ghana’s future workforce and leadership, reinforcing the Bank’s view that education remains central to its social investment agenda.
