FIFA World Cup Draw: Ghana drawn against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea
Group stage opponents of the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup have been revealed after the group stage draw was conducted at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center (DECC) in Qatar on Friday evening.
The Black Stars were drawn against Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea in Group H.
Ghana faced Portugal in the 2014 World Cup where they lost 2-1 in the group stages and lost on penalties to Uruguay in the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Ghana will take on South Korea for the very first time at the global showpiece.
Ghana, the four-time African champions will be making their fourth appearance at the World Cup after participating in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 editions.
The World Cup is scheduled to take place in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December 2022 across five cities and will be the first World Cup ever to be held in the Arab world.
